The first AUGENHÖHE film screening in Sweden!

Why:

Twenty years from now, looking back, we will see that we were in the middle of a major shift. A shift from becoming best in the world to be best for the world. Leading in these increasingly complex times requires different approaches and methods than the ones we know, and a fundamentally different look on what leadership means. The AUGENHÖHE team has been portraying organizations that are already taking the first steps into this new territory, including EnBW, Saint Gobain or Unilever, providing us an idea of how such leadership can look like and what is needed to adapt the skills and mindset for such leadership. Here is a trailer of the AUGENHÖHE film .

What:

Screening of AUGENHÖHE (engl. on equal footing) movie, including a facilitated discussion around the topics of Leadership, Innovation, Awareness based culture, Organizational structure, and Decentralized decision-making, and Q+A with one of the producers, Daniel Trebien.

(The spoken language of the film is mostly German, but there are English subtitles. The workshop language is English. )

What you get:

Inspiring insights into alternative ways of working, that are engaging, create employee well-being, commitment and business resilience
Leading examples of organizations across company size, sector and industry
In-depth exploration of a topic that is relevant to you (you can choose one)

Leadership

Managers, CEO’s, Senior Consultants or Executive Coaches

The workshop is for you, if you

want to work on equal footing
care about employee well-being
want to create freedom, engagement and happiness at work
are curious about how to lead your organization in complex times
want to create a socially sustainable work environment

Your hosts:

Daniel Trebien is one of the producers of the AUGENHÖHE film and has been part of the core team from the beginning. He is the man behind the camera and has so experienced all interviews and shootings. Daniel will provide behind the scenes insights, talk about the motivation and story behind the film as well as one of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns in Germany.

Jens Rinnelt is the driving force behind HumanBusiness with the mission to create awareness of the way working and creating spaces to collectively explore alternatives to it. In his previous jobs he experienced how depressive and disengaging the industrial way of organizing work can be, which is why he is determined to shape the way of working that is needed for the 21st century. Jens will facilitate the evening and create an engaging and trustful atmosphere.

When:

Thursday, 8. November, 18.00 – 21.30

Where:

Norra Vallgatan 90, 211 22 Malmö, Sweden (Ecomatic office)

What does it cost:

90 € / 900 SEK (excl. VAT)

(On Friday, 9th of November, we will host an AUGENHÖHE workshop on different decision-making techniques and explore together in which contexts to use which method. Participants will have the opportunity to practice decision-making techniques, ranging from consultative decisions to consensus group decisions, on their own contexts. Why:

Twenty years from now, looking back, we will see that we were in the middle of a major shift. A shift from becoming best in the world to be best for the world. Leading in these increasingly complex times requires different approaches and methods than the ones we know, and a fundamentally different look on what leadership means.

One key aspect of organizations for the 21st century is decision-making. The fundamental processes of how decisions are made and how decision-making power is distributed need to be addressed.

What you get:

In this AUGENHÖHE workshop

You find clarity and individual, tailor-made decision-making concepts suitable for your organization to be able to navigate the fast-pace and complex environment.
You get an awareness of which different decision-making techniques exist, from consultative decisions to group consent, and in which situations they are most beneficially applied.
In an engaging workshop we will together explore the strengths and weaknesses of each concept.
You will also understand what conditions are calling for which decision-making technique.
Through interactive facilitation you will practice the different techniques, if you want, even on your own examples.
Together we will reflect and learn from the observed experiences.

Your hosts:

Daniel Trebien will share his practical knowledge that he gained from portraying forward thinking organizations in the AUGENHÖHE film as well as from his own background as strategy consultant and interim manager. He faced the ambiguity of bringing inspiring insights to the existing structures. Daniel will share his learnings from managing this challenging balancing act. He believes that there is no one solution that fits in all contexts, but rather that every situation requires an individual assessment and exploring together how a perfect decision-making solution can be created. Getting these fundamentals in order enables working on AUGENHÖHE, on equal footing.

Jens Rinnelt is hosting and facilitating the event. From his own work experiences he knows how limiting too rigid structures can be, but also how challenging it is to make decisions in an plain open space. With HumanBusiness he is on the mission to make business human and put the human well-being into the center of business activities. His work is grounded in systems theory and strives for social sustainable workplaces. With his facilitations skills he provides people spaces to engage and be their authentic self, enabling them to create human-centric workplaces themselves.

For whom:

Managers, CEO’s, Senior Consultants or Executive Coaches

The workshop is right for you, if you

are tired of lengthy discussions in meetings
feel that progress could be made faster, if only there was a way to get everyone on board
are overwhelmed by the decisions to take
suffer under the pressure of making ‚the right‘ choice
want to involve others in the decision-making process
and create a socially sustainable work environment on AUGENHÖHE, equal footing.

When:

Friday, 9. November, 8.00 – 12.00

Where:

Norra Vallgatan 90, 211 22 Malmö (Ecomatic office)

What does it cost:

The AUGENHÖHE workshop costs 395 € / 3950 SEK (excl. VAT).

(The evening before, Thursday 8th of November, we host an AUGENHÖHE screening & dialogue session, where we show the AUGENHÖHE film and reflect together on how the shown examples can lead to concrete implementation for your work or organization. The two events are separate, but the screening session on Thursday will provide a foundation for the in-depth exploration of decision-making concepts on Friday. If you buy both events as a bundle you will get a discount of 55 € / 550 SEK. You can can use the discount code ‚combo‘ when purchasing this workshop. Please notice, that you need to buy the AUGENHÖHE screening & dialogue session separately as well then.)

Focus night: How do we want to work in the 21st century?

How do we want to work in the 21st century?

The way most organizations operate – hierarchical structures, narrow job positions and and centralized control – is outdated. 85 % of the workforce in Europe is not fully engaged with what they are doing on a daily basis. 1 out of 3 people have experienced at least one mental health issue in the last year, amounting to around 600 € billion of lost productivity alone in the EU. The way we work literally makes us sick. The system reached its limits and the price is paid by organizations, individuals and the planet.

“There is evidence to indicate that the poor organisation and management of work plays a significant role in the development of mental health problems.”
– European Agency for Safety and Health at Work

We find ourselves in a paradigm shift from being best in the world to being best FOR the world; from egocentric to ecocentric values. In this new paradigm people work for meaning, they follow their intrinsic motivation, their purpose, to create long lasting sustainable impact.

This requires a new way of organizing work, with self-management and transparent communication with all engaged stakeholders. A new way of looking at the organization as a living organism with it’s own consciousness that evolves. A new way of seeing the whole person that is capable of making autonomous decisions and masters its own craft.

How would if feel to work in an organization where everyone is happy, finds meaning in the work they do and creates value and impact? How would it feel to create thriving businesses that are at the forefront of todays most pressing challenges? How would it feel if the members of an organization take ownership for what matters to them and the organization without bureaucratic processes?

The german documentary AUGENHÖHE (engl. On Equal Footing) shows that this is possible through the way work is organized internally in a company.

It displays pioneering people and organizations that already work differently. Among them are medium sized companies who are the hidden champions of the economy, like Premium Cola or HPP Berlin, as well as globally recognized brands like Adidas or Unilever.

The film ultimately answers the question: How do you create healthy, joyful workplaces, where people take ownership for the well-being of employees, the resilience of the organization and planetary regeneration? Check out the trailer!

On this evening, we will give space to be inspired, enlightened and to connect with other curious souls that care about the future of our work.
